So, when is your next blog? Soon, I'd respond and wondered what I'd done. The blog demons are after me. Anyway, after almost two years of thinking and planning Camino, I realized I didn't have a camera. Go figure. So out I went with my trusty sidekick (Linda) to Henry's and bought a digital camera in about 20 seconds. It was easy as Karen and Dayton did all the leg work a month ago so I just said I'll have what they have. The salesman, very helpful, said only one left and it's PINK. Just like the one I bought my granddaughter.
Next, I realized I couldn't find my stone. Yes, stone. This stone will be place in Ermita de Santiago, at Cruz de Ferro, in remembrance of home and the friends so far away. Only another bit of weight-yuk. I and Emma and Olivia collected flat stones from the tree wells the other day and put them on the deck. The girls picked one out and I set it aside to get later. Couldn't find it, but remembered seeing Dayton and Jacob ( 4 years old) putting stones into his sandbox. I asked Dayton the other night and he said look in the sandbox. So, after dark, with flashlight in hand, I went o Jacob's sandbox and retrieved my stone. Next, I polyurethaned it to protect it from the weather, why? Mission accomplished.
Now, my wife mentioned luggage tags. I'd put them away in a safe place and - you know, they're still safe, so off to get new ones.
Finally, checked my Camino list, backpack tagged and old throw-away duffo -bag tagged and I'm good to go.
NOT - Seems I forgot one more list, the honey do list. So, put together outside lights, new storage unit for deck, make kids' bed, teach cell phone and computer skills blog, blog blog...
Off to learn how to use my new camera and double check everything. And hope the polyurethane is dry on my stone.
As Bugs would say, that's all folks, for now.
Blessings
John
